How it Works
We make the set up process effortless and simple for merchants.
Here are the easy steps involved:
- We will provide a Statement analysis if your business already accepts credit cards and show how we can increase your bottom line with our pricing. If you aren't already accepting credit cards we will send you a fee Schedule and application outlining our fees. Guaranteed best pricing or we'll pay you $500.00
- We help you choose the terminal or software that would be best suited for your business.
- Complete and sign 2 page application over the phone with one of our representatives, attach a voided check, sign fee schedule, and provide most recent month merchant statement (if currently processing). Be sure to obtain an account verification letter from your bank if your check is a starter check.
- Approval process takes roughly 48 hours or less. Upon approval your terminal will be shipped to you by standard mail unless you request overnight shipping.
- When you receive your terminal it will be ready to process, all you have to do is plug it in and connect the phone line. If you are reprogramming your current terminal, we will contact you when you're approved and walk you through the 15-20 minute reprogram. We recommend the reprogram to be done at an off time to avoid interruption of your business. If you are reprogramming your POS or software, we will need to know the software type and vendor contact information. We must correspond with your POS vendor to create a new download file. This process can take up to 7 days but will not interrupt your business at all. If your vendor needs to come out to your business and do the re-program, they may charge you. Please ask your Direct Bancard representative for more details on POS reprograms.
- If you are a new merchant, we will train you on how to use the terminal over the phone and run a test to make sure you understand the functions of your new terminal(s).
- Your funds arrive in 24-48 hours after a batch. The funds will be routed to the account in which you provided a voided check for. You can always change this account and change business name with no penalty.
Switching to Direct Bancard
Before you cancel with your previous processor we make sure that you are up and running with us. After all terminals are installed or reprogrammed, we can send a cancellation notice on your behalf to your previous processor, or you can cancel yourself.
NOTE: You must be sure that any terminals that belong to your previous processor are returned to them according to their requirements and contract to avoid penalty or costs. Also be sure of your cancellation fee with them, sometimes cancellation fees can be your average fees times the remaining term which can be a huge amount in some cases. Your Direct Bancard representative will be happy to review your contract for you to make sure you aren't assessed any extra penalties or costs.
